My first drawing was a rose.
MeDrawing, is my playground. It is where I can show my drawings, to get feedback, and see if I am getting any better at drawing.

Posca pen learning to draw
I have not been very good at using color in my drawings, but I have developed a love for Posca pens. I wanted to take my drawings to something like a canvas I could hang on the wall. Graphite pens are not good for that, so after some consideration, I desided to buy a few Posca pens and draw.
My first drawing was a rose.
I draw this on a piece of rather rough sketching paper. This wasn't a good idea. Although the picture turned out okay, the tip of the posca pens started to fall apart :-(

Easter cartoon drawing
This one is an easter cartoon I made the other day. When drawing this, the stripes inspired me to make another drawing, as it seems Mr. Egg looks rather fat with stripes running horizontal, and it lead me to...
Starting to draw
This is my first blog post, and I would like to tell you what my idea is with this. I have been drawing for some years now. It has been an on-off relationship. Drawing is fun, and I want to use this blog as a playground for all my drawing ideas. A place to gather my drawings, to learn and get better.
I have mainly been drawing with normal graphite pencils. When I started out learning, I wanted to draw realistic, but mostly my focus has been cartoon drawing - like the classic Gag-a-day you find in newspapers. I find this very fun. Cartoons is not about realism, it is about expressing ideas in a humorous way - so other people can understand what you mean.
I have been playing around with different medias over time. I have not been a big fan of color. I like the old style drawings in black and white. Shadows are created with lines, dots or just by colouring areas with black. As a result, I like to play with ink. I think ink drawing can give a specieal feeling. The problem with ink though, is that you can very easy make a mistake that is irreversible.
Lately I have been playing with Posca pens. This is very fun and I love drawing with them. This has come to stay!
I hope you will enjoy my playground, and feel free to give me feedback - both good and bad - so I can get better.
